About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The Cordelion Performing Arts Academy (CPAA) is a performing arts and leadership program for youth ages 3-18. We specialize in providing students with the foundational skills to become exceptional young artists, students, and leaders. Founded on the principles of Service, Leadership, Artistry, and Achievement, we aim to provide students with experiences that develop their strengths as performing artists, students, and overall humans-shaping their minds and allowing them to express themselves through the arts in a safe, structured environment. Our students develop their civic identity and personal esteems, promoting healthy growth.

Our Story

Founded in 2011 by Cordell Hardgrove and Terrence Myles, The Cordelion Performing Arts Academy has been a pillar in the youth arts community for over ten years. Their passions for Service, Leadership, Artistry, and Discipline combined drive their excellent work.

We are a non-competitive talent and leadership development institution for creative youth. Our programs specialize in preparing and training our students for success in the arts and entertainment industry. Classes are offered in dance and vocal performance, audio engineering, acting, fashion design, and more. Whether their goals are commercial, concert, or collegiate, our alumni are fully equipped to take the world by storm and achieve them.

Our programs' dance lessons are life lessons. Combining pre-professional dance training and leadership development, our students learn the intangibles such as respect, leadership, goal setting, perseverance, pride, and self-esteem.

FIVE TEARS OF LEARNING

The Cordelion Performing Arts Academy is achieving more with our initiatives than ever. With an unorthodox approach to dance education, the CPAA combines rigorous training methods with service learning educational and organizational programming.  Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work daily to promote positive change.
